The simultaneous publishing further demonstrated our commitment to sustainability, which is integral to our strategy and critical to all our stakeholders.
2021 was a year of significant progress for SGS. Our strong operational performance confirms our strategic focus and that we are building a thriving future for SGS. The performance was supported by our pricing initiatives and cost control in an inflationary environment, as well as working capital management. At the same time, we have continued to invest across the global network to accelerate our strategic evolution.
As a purpose-driven company, sustainability is truly embedded in our culture and the way we do business. In 2021, we launched our new corporate Sustainability Ambitions 2030. We have included Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) KPIs in the remuneration of our top management and a EUR 1 billion sustainability-linked revolving credit facility, and further elevated sustainability factors in the Operations Council capex approval process. We have also introduced our new Sustainability Solutions Framework to support our customers on their sustainability journeys and help them implement sustainable, safer and efficient processes within their value chains.
Finally, we will become the most digital company in the TIC industry. To achieve this, we are investing significantly in innovation to drive productivity, automate our operations, create new products and services and further improve customer experience.
Ultimately, this is the story of our employees, and these reports detail their successes and achievements. During a challenging year, their abilities and agility enabled us to deliver solid results. Their dedication and dynamism will continue to remain the basis of our success in delivering a better, safer and more interconnected world for all our stakeholders.
