SGS Becomes Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) in Poland
SGS in Poland has been awarded Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) Certificate by the Customs Administration of Poland.
The status of AEO is now applicable officially for SGS Poland and its secure, multi-lingual, web-based TransitNet services, which is a key element in the international supply chain.
AEO status will ensure increasingly smooth-running transits starting from Poland and increases the reputation of both SGS in Poland and the whole TransitNet network as a reliable operator and partner in trade and logistics. This achievement comes in addition to the recently obtained AEO certificate in Spain.
TransitNet services from SGS facilitate operations by applying effective control over customs transit trade. Transporters, customs brokers, shipping agents and shippers can submit an electronic customs transit declaration, together with a financial guarantee covering their liability for customs debt.
TransitNet is a secure, multi-lingual, web-based platform that captures, controls and monitors transit declarations in nineteen different languages, including Turkish and Russian, and connects with 20 different customs management systems. The service complies with national and international regulations, including NCTS, Common Transit and Euro Asiana Economic Customs Union.
