In the EU, recalls of hardline products decreased by 32%.
In the USA, 42 products were recalled. The top category for recalls was home furnishings and houseware – 8 recalls, with the main risk being cuts from kitchen accessories. Furniture and Sports & Leisure also saw increase with 7 recalls for which fall is the main risk identified.
The EU saw 241 recalls with the top category being toys, for which chemical and choking were the main risks. Food contact materials and chemical product also saw an increase in recalls, while there was a 22% fall in recalls of products within the childcare articles and children’s equipment category.
