SGS has renewed the Gabon conformity assessment program – Programme Gabonais d’Evaluation de la Conformité (PROGEC) – with Agence Gabonaise de Normalisation (AGANOR) for a three-year period.

Gabon's conformity assessment program ensures that all regulated products and raw materials imported to the country meet the relevant approved standards and technical regulations.

All regulated raw materials and products imported to Gabon must be assessed and conform to the requirements of PROGEC. SGS can assess and issue all products destined for import to Gabon with the mandatory Certificate of Conformity.

This new program not only maintains current regulated products, but adds additional products, including:

  • 91: Clocks and watches and parts
  • 92: Musical instruments, parts and accessories
  • 30: Pharmaceutical product
  • 50 – 63: Textiles
  • 86 – 89: Transportation equipment
