At its 17th International Stars of the Year Awards, Ekovitrin, a leading trade and logistics press group, announced SGS Turkey as the ‘Logistics Service Provider of the Year 2018’ for its transit monitoring platform, TransitNet.

The prize was presented to SGS TransitNet Managing Director for Turkey, Mine Kaya, by the Minister of Industry and Trade, Ali Coskun.

Mine Kaya said: “SGS is proud to receive this recognition from the professional sector for our TransitNet platform and our ongoing commitment to providing the logistics industry with a fast, cost-effective solution for moving cargo through border crossings, ports and beyond.”

TransitNet services from SGS facilitate operations by applying effective control over customs transit trade. Transporters, customs brokers, shipping agents and shippers can submit an electronic customs transit declaration, together with a financial guarantee covering their liability for customs debt.

TransitNet is a secure, multi-lingual, web-based platform that captures, controls and monitors transit declarations in sixteen different languages, including Turkish and Russian, and connects with 18 different customs management systems. The service complies with national and international regulations, including NCTS and Common Transit.
