SGS Launches Hospitality Experience (HX) Program in Malaysia
SGS launched its Hospitality Experience (HX) program at the Kota Permai Golf and Country Club in Malaysia on July 18, 2018.
The launch brought together 43 managers and directors of a wide range of high profile hotels, who gathered in Kuala Lumpur to learn about and discuss hospitality and tourism performance, trends and challenges, food safety and customer experience in the hospitality industry.
John Baluyot, SGS Global Product Manager of Hospitality and Tourism, introduced and presented the HX program, a new and comprehensive property audit solution designed to optimize the guest experience within the hotel industry. John explained, "We are excited to work together with our Malaysian team on addressing the issues and enhancing guest experiences to showcase the real impact of HX within the industry."

The event also included a talk by guest speaker Iskandar Mirza Mohd Yusof, a representative from Malaysia's Ministry of Tourism, who provided an update on trends in Malaysia tourism and discussed the millennial generation's active role in changing the tourism landscape. Lisa Lim, an experienced food lead auditor, addressed issues pertaining to food safety in Malaysia, such as regulatory requirements and the benefits of food safety programs.
HX comprises four modules of certification audits:
- Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
- Quality of Service Experience (QX)
