The ASEAN Cosmetic Committee has agreed to a series of updates to the ASEAN Cosmetic Directive.

At the 27th ASEAN Cosmetic Committee Meeting a series of updates were agreed.

The updates include:

  • A ban on three fragrance allergens

  • An update of the directive on use in cosmetic products containing hair dye ingredients

  • A restriction of use for Zinc Oxide

  • A restriction of use for one preservative

These changes follow the updating of the Cosmetics Regulation (EC) 1223/2009 in Europe.
