SGS has been accredited as a provider of FSC™ Chain of Custody (COC) Lead Auditor training, making us one of the first three organizations to comply with the FSC’s new training requirements.

This accreditation allows our auditors to deliver unparalleled service to customers around the world.

In addition to our accredited FSC COC training, we also offer COC Lead Auditor training covering PEFC™ COC modules. Based on this training, we have developed three complementary one day in-person courses:

  • FSC Chain of Custody – Basic Systems
  • FSC Chain of Custody – Advanced Systems
  • PEFC Chain of Custody

These courses are based on the new version of the COC certification standards, STD-40-004 V3.0 Chain of Custody Standard and STD-40-005 V3.1 Controlled Wood Standard. They are designed for those who require a general introduction to these new standards or are managing the transition to them.

When asked about the significance of this accreditation for SGS, Global Business Manager for Forestry, Christian Kobel, stated, “It is a great honor for us to receive this accreditation. Being one of only three companies to receive this highlights our commitment to continued improvement and quality. We are proud to be able to share this exceptional service and training with our clients.”
