SGS, one of EXCiPACT’s internationally-recognized Certification Bodies, has awarded EXCiPACT certificates to two organizations, the ACG Associated Capsules Private Limited site in India and the Caravan Ingredients Company site in Missouri, USA.

The EXCiPACT certificate demonstrates that both of these businesses manufacture pharmaceutical excipients according to the EXCiPACT Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) Certification Standard. For ACG Associated Capsules the certificate’s scope covers the manufacturing of hard gelatine capsule shells IP and hard gelatine capsule shells. For the Caravan Ingredients Company it covers the processing of fully hydrogenated refined vegetable oil into dry fine powder for use as a pharmaceutical excipient.

When asked about EXCIPACT and the significance of this certification for these organizations, Global Head of International Sales and Accounts at SGS, Jeff Dowson, stated: “This certification is an important one, especially in the realm of pharmaceuticals. Not only does it signify that these organizations comply with appropriate regulations, but it demonstrates that all materials being produced at these sites are safe, as shown by SGS.”

As a world-leading provider of certification, inspection, testing and verification, SGS is an internationally-recognized EXCiPACT Certification Body.
