Yan Walther, SGS's art services expert, has been invited to participate in Deloitte’s 2nd US Art & Finance Conference on March 2, 2017.

Mr Walther will be contributing to a panel discussion entitled, “Data, Analytics and Building Trust in the Art Market”.

Aimed primarily at lawyers, bankers and other investors, Deloitte’s US Art & Finance Conference takes place during The Armory Show. This year, the conference will focus on transformation and innovation in the art market. Subtitled ‘A Portrait in Transformation’, each discussion panel will bring together leading figures from the art and financial industries to consider the ways in which recent developments are helping to bring transparency and trust back into the art world.

As global experts in art analysis and condition reporting, SGS leads the field in providing independent and transparent data to investors and collectors. Independent analysis of a potential acquisition, providing data on authenticity and condition, gives the investor an objective understanding of what they are acquiring. Independent condition reporting should be part of any investor’s due diligence before considering a purchase in the art world.

Yan Walther will be joining a panel which includes: Laura Patten from Deloitte Advisory Services LLP; Andrea Danese, CEO and President, Athena; Christopher E. Vroom, CFA, Founder and CEO, CollectorIQ; and Benjamin Genocchio, Executive Director, The Armory Show.

The Armory Show is New York’s premier art fair and it runs from March 2-5 at Piers 92 & 94, 711 12th Ave, New York. Deloitte’s US Art & Finance Conference will take place during The Armory Show on Thursday, March 2, between 1.00pm and 7.00pm.
