SGS is proud to sponsor COMMEUNSEULHOMME sailor and navigator Eric Bellion in his attempt to complete the prestigious Vendée Globe solo round-the-world race.
Although the Vendée Globe is a solo race, Eric Bellion has created a collaborative project with a 'crew' of 80,000 employees, an innovation to show the whole world that diversity is a driver for people and businesses.
Diversity is one of the biggest challenges facing organizations in the 21st century. COMMEUNSEULHOMME brings together 14 sponsor companies, and their combined employees, including SGS in France, as well as Altavia, EM Lyon, EY, Klesia, LeasePlan, Nicoll, Pernod Ricard, Phone Régie, Raise, Salesforce, TF1 Publicité, Thuasne and Trepia. Employees of each sponsor will testify what diversity means to them, and how it is driving performance and innovation, through five videos.
Diversity Video Challenge
SGS will take part in the challenge videos, on the themes of:
- Dare to be Different
- Innovate Through Constraints
- Aiming for Collective Performance
- Triumph as a Team
The videos will be featured on the blog COMMEUNSEULHOMME to deliver maximum impact for the diversity messages. Winning videos will be those receiving most ‘likes’, and during the race, Eric Bellion will hoist the flag of each company that wins one of five challenges.
"This business project highlights that diversity is one of the fundamentals of our group, both culturally through our employees around the world, as well as through the many professions and sectors in which we operate," said Fabrice Egloff, President, SGS in France. He added: "I am proud that SGS teams embark upon this great adventure with values that we share and that teach us to better live together."
