Our employees face risk at work every day. To help promote safe behaviors and minimize risk in the workplace, we support the International Labor Organization's (ILO's) World Safety and Health Day and organize an SGS Safety Month every year.

Since 2003, the ILO has been observing World Safety and Health Day on April 28. This year's theme is "Workplace Stress: A Collective Challenge". It draws attention to current trends in work related stress and the impact of stress in workplaces around the world.

In addition to supporting the ILO initiative, we organize an SGS Safety Month every September to promote safety awareness. This year, we are telling our employees to "Assess your risk and take control." To prevent serious incidents, we ask them to proactively put in place sensible control measures to identify and minimize risk. Awareness and safe behaviors will help us to reach our shared goal of zero incidents in 2016.
