In the latest of our series of Lab Focus articles we explore SGS’s lab facilities in Thailand. 

SGS opened its first lab in Thailand in 1951. Today, with 1,500 employees across the country, we have a network of eight offices and laboratories. Our head office is in Bangkok, supported by offices in Nakornratchasrima, Chiang Mai and Chonburi, as well as the following laboratory facilities:

  • Bangkok – 6,000 m2
  • Rayong – 2 laboratories totaling 1,700 m2
  • Songkhla – 750 m2 

Types of consumer products tested by our laboratories in Thailand include:

  • Listed approval laboratory with Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare (MHLW)
