New Fumigation Services in Baltic States

SGS has launched new fumigation services in all major ports across the Baltic States to minimize the risk of damage to your goods.
To meet increased demand for port and shore-based fumigation of grains in transport, SGS has invested in personnel and facilities to launch a new fumigation service in Latvia and to improve and extend operations in Lithuania and Estonia.
As well as ensuring compliance with treatment regulations for importing countries, including Algeria, Egypt, Europe, Iran, Libya, Saudi Arabia and the UAE, our fumigation teams work quickly and efficiently to ensure swift and reliable intervention.
SGS passive and active fumigation services are available in the following Baltic ports:
- Lithuania: Klaipeda
- Estonia: Muuga
- Latvia: Riga, Liepaja, Ventspils
In addition to onboard fumigation of grain shipments, we can also inspect, sample, analyze and fumigate grain cargoes in warehouses, containers and railcars.
Our import and export fumigation services include:
- Quarantine and pre-shipment treatments
- Treatment of products against insects and mites
- Port to port services (fumigation at loading and service at arrival)
- Fumigant removal and disposal
SGS performs fumigation services in ports and logistics centres worldwide. Accordingly, these services comply with stringent national and international legislation, with best practice and with globally agreed quality and safety standards.
