France issues notice from the decree n° 95 949 from the 25 August 1995 on prevention of risks resulting from the use of certain bunk beds – EN 747:2012+A1:2015.
New European standards for bunk beds and high beds have been published and will supersede the existing European standards no later than November 2015. EN 747-1:2012+A1:2015 Bunk beds and high beds – safety, Strength and durability requirements will supersede EN 747-1:2012. EN 747-2:2012+A1:2015 Bunk beds and high beds – test methods will supersede EN 747-2:2012.
In September 2015, the French government issued a notice to the decree 95-949 dated of the 25 August 1995 on prevention of risks resulting from the use of bunk beds for domestic and non domestic use.

This notice makes it mandatory for the French market for bunk beds with an upper surface of the top bed base of 600mm or more to conform to the new standard.
Product conforming to the former version of the standard can be put on the market until September 2016 and allowed to sell out the stock that is already on the market.
NF D 62 100-1: 2010 and NF D 62 100-2 : 2010 are still mentioned in the notice and so it is mandatory for loft bed with fixed platform.
