SGS and the Valenciaport Foundation Sign Strategic Alliance of International Collaboration
SGS and the Valenciaport Foundation have signed a strategic partnership agreement to develop a new Port Solutions service bundle to better align with market needs.
The new solution encompasses different services which can be implemented individually or as a bundle. These include port community systems, automatic gates, port safety & security, research & statistics, environment & sustainability, quality systems, training, capacity building and ad-hoc consulting.
The agreement was signed by Roger Kamgaing, Executive Vice President at SGS, and Vicente del Río, CEO of the Valenciaport Foundation, with, Aurelio Martinez, the President of the Port Authority of Valencia, acting as a witness. Antonio Torregrosa, Project Manager for the Foundation, and Miguel Garín, its Manager of International Development, were also present during the signing ceremony.
The creation of these services has been possible thanks to the Foundation’s knowledge and experience of applied technologies and services for the optimization of port operations, combined with SGS’s international experience of trade facilitation and global presence.
Additionally, this agreement will launch a partnership between the Foundation’s Training Department and the SGS Academy, to jointly develop programs aimed at training international logistics clusters.
This agreement has been made possible thanks to the collaboration between the Valenciaport Foundation and SGS Argentina earlier this year. Subsequent meetings between representatives of the International Development Foundation and SGS have strengthened the collaboration.
