Field in Poland

SGS’s demonstration field trial services took center stage at a client’s Vegetable Field Open Day last month, in a village near Ożarów Mazowiecki, Poland. The local field trial services team prepared a 1.5 hectare (ha) field of vegetables with 26 varieties and 180 cultivars.

More than 400 vegetable producers and agricultural scientists from across Poland met on-site to compare, under the same growing conditions, the cultivation of many varieties and cultivars. The Vegetable Field Open Day gives buyers an important opportunity to see the end-product, fully grown, and make informed decisions on their seed purchases for the coming season.

SGS began work on the site began in April 2015, to deliver the site ready and in perfect condition for the open day on September 20.
