Africa Telecom People 2014
SGS Société Générale de Surveillance (SGS) and Global Voice Group (GVG) are proud to announce their joint participation, as sponsors, exhibitors and speakers, to Africa Telecom People (ATP) 2014, the tenth instance of this major yearly gathering of francophone Africa's telecom players.
Every year, for the past decade, ATP has gathered the main actors of the telecommunications sector in francophone Africa. This high-profile rallying event represents an ideal opportunity for entrepreneurs, regulators and government stakeholders to meet and exchange ideas. Through the eagerly awaited presentation of the ATP Awards, ATP also aims to highlight the exceptional contribution of the sector's African actors, who stand out through their innovation, initiative, entrepreneurship, development, etc.
Some 5,000 visitors and more than 700 distinguished guests are expected to attend the event, which will be held, for the fourth consecutive year, in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, on December 18 and 19, 2014. The organizers have also confirmed that several very high-caliber speakers will attend the event, among others the Secretary General of the African Telecommunications Union, Mr. Abdoul Karim Soumaila, and several African ministers.
This year, ATP's main theme is the "Role of fixed networks in the evolution of broadband in Africa".
As exhibitors and speakers, GVG and SGS will present a number of information and communication technologies that apply to telecom regulation and to taxation. Furthermore, in the context of its partnership with MedixWeb, a designer and developer of electronic medical management and epidemiological monitoring platforms, GVG will present cutting-edge solutions adapted to the African continent's public health issues.
