SGS Supervises the Two Largest Ever Sugar Cargoes
SGS will supervise the loading of two raw sugar cargoes at Santos, Brazil. The first will be 106,000 MT and the second 97,000 MT, onto capesize merchant vessels.
Our experts will complete tasks including:
- Weighing
- Sampling
- Draft survey
- Hose test
- Hold inspection
- Analyses
Size Matters
Although raw sugar is a common enough cargo in bulk carriers, capesize vessels (80,000 MT and over) are more commonly used to carry coal and iron ore.
