SGS Pakistan Industrial Services held an intensive three-hour complimentary training session for lifting inspection techniques on September 25, 2014 at the SGS Pakistan Port Qasim Office in Karachi.
The session, presented by Farhan Khan, Senior Inspection Engineer for SGS Industrial Services, covered lifting techniques and procedures that can help companies to run safe and reliable operations for every type of lifting equipment.
The training also explored a range of approaches for reducing risk and improving operational efficiency. Topics included examination and inspection for preventing mechanical and operational failures, employers’ responsibility towards maintenance, suitability of workplace equipment, and the training, knowledge and experience required for operating specific lifting devices.
In addition, SGS conducted a live demonstration of lifting equipment and NDT techniques.
The client-focused training program was an important event for SGS Pakistan enabling the company to interact with clients on a personal level. SGS believes in participating in such events regularly in order to create a forum in which business professionals can meet to discuss the issues facing the industry and explore possible solutions.
The session was customized to meet clients’ business needs by ensuring that the topics were directly applicable to their procedures. During the event and live demonstration, clients were able to ask questions about the issues they were facing, as well as the concerns they had for the future.
This open forum has enabled SGS to address clients’ needs directly by developing more expanded business solutions to suit their specific requirements. The event has helped SGS to maintain strong business relationships with its clients, while demonstrating the SGS portfolio, expertise and experience in the field of lifting inspection techniques.
