SGS Contract Renewal with the Kurdistan Standardization and Quality Control Administration
SGS has renewed his contract with the Kurdistan Standardization and Quality Control Administration (KSQCA) for the provision of Pre-inspection, Testing and Certification services on products imported to Kurdistan Region in North Iraq.
SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA, the leader in Product Conformity Assessment services has been operating this Product Conformity Assessment Program in Kurdistan Region since January 15, 2012. The program which aims to protect consumers, producers, environment, public safety and national economy from using substandard products as well as to restrict the importation of inferior, debased and fake products has just been renewed and it will start its implementation on May 16th 2014. The renewed program envisages some changes on implementation guidelines and also has duration of two years.
With this development, SGS is committed to stay and be an instrument in the development of the quality infrastructure in the Kurdistan Region which is now growing fast and it is becoming a significant trade partner in the Middle East Region.
