MEDICA 2012 – SGS showed how medical devices can reach the markets faster.
The 2012 edition of MEDICA proved yet again why the Düsseldorf (Germany) trade fair is the global platform for the medical technologies industry and medical professionals to interact.
The 4554 exhibitors from 64 countries and the highly interesting program of forums, conferences and seminars attracted over 130,000 visitors, 90% of whom had decision-making competence within their organizations.
Some of the major trends reflected at MEDICA 2012 were the emergence of new regions and countries as significant players in the medical devices industry, including the Middle East countries or New Zealand, as well as on the technology side, the continuous increase in the amount of information technology being used in an ever-larger range of medical devices.
Product safety and quality were also main focus points of MEDICA and the SGS safety and quality assurance service portfolio found large and interested audience. The SGS exhibition stand located in the Association of British Healthcare Industries (ABHI) pavilion welcomed a constant stream of visitors and hosted numerous business meetings and open discussions.
