On April 29, 2011, SGS participated in the American Apparel and Footwear Association’s 2011 International Product Safety and Sustainability Conference at HJ International Hotel, Dongguan, China.
The conference brings together industry leaders to educate attendees on the numerous regulatory standards, Restricted Substances Lists (RSL), chemical management programs and sustainability issues facing the industry today. Dr. Karen Kyllo, Deputy Vice President of SGS Global Softlines, was invited to give a speech on the topic of Understanding Testing – When to Test, How to Test, What to Test, giving attendants an idea about what constitutes a reasonable test plan and understand when, how and what to test under a chemical management program.
