Munich, February 17, 2011 – The new SGS TÜV Functional Safety Training and personal qualification program is now online. It is the most extensive and in-depth training program currently available on the market. On the SGS TUV website, interested parties will find numerous attractive training offers relating to all current Functional Safety topics. The seminars address a wide range of target groups: from decision makers who would like a quick, condensed overview of Functional Safety requirements through to field-oriented experts who seek information on specific topics. The demand for safety-relevant system developments, and thus well-trained specialists, is growing in all industries.

The content covered by the seminars and workshops are as extensive and varied as their target groups: Functional Safety in the Automotive Industry (ISO 26262), for Automation, Software and Semiconductors (IEC 61508), in Machine Safety (ISO 13848 / IEC 62061) and in the Process Industry (IEC 61511), for Agricultural Machinery (ISO 25119) and for Household Appliances (various standards).

"We are completely covering this growing demand through our training concept,” says Marcus Rau, who heads the trainers team for Functional Safety at SGS TÜV. “Our modular training units are unique in the industry in terms of their depth because we have noted that businesses and attendees seek more than superficial information. They desire training with depth in which people with experience in the field teach the contents. We are meeting these needs through our various types of training.”

Another benefit to customers: SGS-TÜV GmbH is a member of the relevant standardization committees and thus involved in the further development of the state of science and technology. Therefore, the trainers are always able to teach and convey the latest information and interpretations of standards.

In addition, SGS TÜV offers a personal qualification program in the Industrial and Automotive sectors leading to certification as an “Industrial Functional Safety Professional (IFSP)“ or “Industrial Functional Safety Expert (IFSE)“ as well as an “Automotive Functional Safety Professional (AFSP)“ or “Automotive Functional Safety Expert (AFSE)”. This program far exceeds the realm of normal trainings.

Special in-house trainings, individual, customised seminars on location, and webinars complement SGS-TÜV GmbH’s offering. For further information and bookings, please contact:
