New agreement signed between SGS-CSTC and Chinese PV Inspection Centre
SGS-CSTC Standards Technical Services Co., Ltd (SGS China) signed a formal cooperation agreement with the National Centre of Supervision & Inspection on Solar Photovoltaic Product Quality (the national PV inspection centre) on 23 April 2009. Senior management of both the parties, local government officials, representatives of PV industrial associations and research institutes, manufacturers joined the agreement signing ceremony and had a lab tour.
According to the agreement, SGS China and the national PV inspection centre have formed a strategic cooperation partnership to provide solar photovoltaic testing and certification services to manufacturers, importers and project owners in China or outside of China. The services will cover full testing and certifications to international, regional or national standards like IEC61215, IEC61730, IEC61646, UL1703, etc and protocol test as well. Test protocol will be developed and tailor made for clients like pre-shipment test. With the test done in the national PV inspection centre supervised by SGS experts, SGS will issue test report, and SGS PV certificate when factory inspection is conducted with positive results.
Besides, along with SGS pre-shipment inspection pre-shipment test will also be vitally critical for importers and solar power plant project owners outside of China to ensure the mass production product quality and performance. In addition, test for the solar PV related products like controller/inverters; energy storing batteries and PV appliances is also included in the agreement.
