Financial Institutes can benefit from the know-how of SGS which has developed the Equator Principles Sustainable Management System for development projects.

SGS in the United Kingdom is offering two training courses on Equator Principles, from basic awareness to development and implementation. The Equator Principles training courses are public-run courses that can be conducted in-house.

The Equator Principles are a set of guidelines that address the social and environmental issues associated with major development projects worldwide, and are promoted by the International Finance Corporation (IFC).  Equator Principles provide the framework for the implementation of internal social and environmental standards and procedures for project financing activities across all industries.

The Equator Principles Awareness Course (EPAC) by SGS takes place over a 2 day period and provides an introduction to the guidelines, customization tools, reporting tools and performance evaluation.

Developing an Equator Principles Sustainable Management System (SMS) for Financial Institution training courses will provide an introduction to and the establishment of an SMS, as well as opportunity identification, drafting of action plans and procedures, etc.
