The FISITA 2008 World Automotive Congress is hosted by the Association of German Engineers (VDI) and will take place at the International Congress Centre Munich (ICM), a state-of-the-art venue in the heart of one of Germany's leading automotive engineering regions. More than 50 different topics will be discussed during the four-day programme, reflecting the vital role of engineers worldwide in solving the current and future transportation challenges facing society.
Under the chairmanship of Dr Michael Paul, Executive Vice President, ZF Friedrichshafen AG, the Congress will address 12 key themes: mobility concepts; man-machine interaction; electronics; future powertrain solutions; vehicle concepts; vehicle safety; virtual reality; simulation and testing; resources and ecology; process challenges in changing economies; chassis development for cars, trucks and buses, and body design for cars, trucks and buses.
