The eighth annual Native Seed Quality Symposium is scheduled for June 7, 2008 in St. Paul, Minnesota at the Crown Plaza Hotel. The agenda is full for the one-day symposium with a group of speakers from Minnesota and Wisconsin discussing subjects currently of concern to seed producers (carbon credits, genetic variation, eco-regions, etc.). In addition, the first draft of the Native Seed Quality Bulletin is ready for review, a discussion panel on developing a “model” for seed testing method development for natives, along with updates on TZ laws, TZ testing tips and a review of the SCST Native Seed Survey.
The proceeds of the symposium contribute to the Seed Testing Research Foundation (STRF) to fund future research projects.
