As part of SGS Industrial Service support for the Saudi Aramco Twin Program, SGS Singapore through SGS Gulf recently signed a training contract with two Saudi Aramco employees for a training attachment in Singapore.
The attachment period will be between 12 months to 24 months and will offer the trainees a full “On The Job Training” program for Inspection and Testing training in the Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation disciplines. At the end of the program, the trainees are expected to be qualified as “Aramco Authorised Inspector” in the designated inspection disciplines besides obtaining other certifications for welding inspection, NDT etc.
A similar program is now under negotiation between the AIM Competence Centre of SGS and other Saudi Trainees recommended by Saudi Aramco for training in SGS office in Bartlesville, USA. It is expected that SGS will eventually host a total of six Saudi trainees in Singapore, USA and Europe.
