SGS will be at HABITAT III, the UN Conference on Housing and Sustainable Urban Development, showcasing a new comprehensive solution for connecting people to land – SGS land management. Designed for use by local, national and regional institutions, SGS land management focuses on land policy formulation, legal frameworks and the reform and modernization of land management processes and systems. It aims to improve land governance and strengthen the sustainable management of land and natural resources.

Habitat III is the third in a series of bi-decennial global summits, created by the United Nations General Assembly with the goal of building a worldwide commitment to sustainable urbanization.

This year’s conference will focus on the adoption of a New Global Urban Agenda for addressing urban challenges. Member states, multilateral organizations, local governments and members of the private sector and civil society will come together to rethink the urban agenda and develop appropriate policies to ensure a sustainable future. Land management will play a crucial role.
