SGS invites you to attend the 60-minute complimentary webinar "ROHS2 CHALLENGES FOR TOYS" on December 17, 2012.

In July 2011 the Recast RoHS Directive (restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment) was published in the Official Journal by the European Union, which now makes it a legal document you need to comply with. As some toys have been in scope since the beginning of RoHS the scope of RoHS2 directive has now been modified to include ALL toys with an electrical and electronic function. But depending on your type of toys or target market, the compliance date of the Recast Directive may be different.

The objective of this 60-minute complimentary webinar is to help you understand the changes and ensure you know what to do to comply with RoHS2 directive.

  • RoHS 2 basics and consequences for toys
  • CE Marking: new requirement
  • Practical compliance management
  • Market surveillance
  • RoHS test strategies
  • Live Q&A session

Target Audience

This webinar is suited to those involved in the design, manufacture, quality assurance, importing or retailing of electrical and electronic toys for the EU market.
