New Mandatory RoHS Requirements in Eurasian Economic Union

RoHS requirements in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) became mandatory on March 1, 2020, and electronic products marketed in the EAEU must undergo conformity assurance procedures and acquire the officially registered EAC Declaration of Conformity.
EU Initiative to Surveil Hazardous Chemicals in Products

EU inspectors will check products in 2022 for compliance with hazardous chemicals under the REACH and POPs Regulations. The report is expected to be published in 2023.

CEN Issues EN 14350:2020 ‘Drinking Equipment for Young Children’

CEN has published EN 14350:2020 for the safety requirements, test methods and product information for drinking equipment intended for young children. Conflicting national standards are to be withdrawn by June 2021 at the very latest.
Georgia Announces Technical Regulation on Batteries and Battery Waste Management

Georgia has published a Technical Regulation on batteries and battery waste management based on the EU Battery Directive. It will enter into force on September 1, 2020.

Australia Updates Mandatory Safety Standards for Certain Toys
