GB 30585-2024 – Safety technical specifications for infants' and children's footwear – was released on May 28, 2024, and will become effective on June 1, 2025.

On May 28, 2024, the State Administration for Market Regulation and the Standardization Administration of the People's Republic of China (PRC) issued mandatory product standard GB 30585-2024 – Safety technical specifications for infants' and children's footwear – which will become effective on June 1, 2025.

GB 30585-2024 replaces the previous edition, GB 30585-2014.

The new version of this document is applicable to footwear products made of various materials for children and infants up to and including the age of 14 years.

  • Requirements and testing methods for odor
  • Appendix A for examples for classification of partial accessories

4. Small accessories of infants’ shoe GB 6675.2-2014,5.2&5.24.6.1 1. Removable small accessories should not be small enough to fit entirely within small parts cylinder in any orientation

2. Small accessories that have detached after the specified tensile test (including parts that have detached during the tensile test) should not have accessible sharp edges or sharp point, and should not be small enough to fit entirely within small parts cylinder in any orientation

3. Damaged but not detached small accessories after tensile testing should not have accessible sharp edges or point
