Why is it beneficial to routinely test gasoline fuel?
In Africa the quality of fuel can vary. If a lower octane fuel than expected is used this will cause any engine to run poorly and can over time damage both the engine and emissions control system.
Is fuel tested to local and international standards?
At SGS, we ensure our high-quality testing is accurate. We use both local and international standards for our testing, in this case we can determine if your fuel meets quality standards according to ASTM D-2699.
SGS is committed to delivering high-quality sample analysis. Methods and detection limits are reviewed and revalidated regularly to ensure that data quality objectives are met and maintained. We participate in many formal and informal proficiency test programs to ensure validity of our results.
