Continuing our Cut to the Core QHSE webinar series, this session focuses on ISO 45001, the international standard for occupational health and safety (OH&S) management systems. Designed to help organizations proactively manage workplace risks and improve employee safety, ISO 45001 plays a key role in building safer, more resilient workplaces.
In this webinar, we will explore the development and history of ISO 45001, including its transition from previous occupational health and safety frameworks to the globally recognized standard used today. Participants will gain a practical overview of the current ISO 45001 standard, including its key clauses, core principles and how organizations can implement them effectively within their operations.
The session will also discuss proposed and potential updates to the standard, providing insights into how organizations can prepare for future changes. In addition, we examine how ISO 45001 aligns with other management system standards, such as ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, enabling organizations to integrate health and safety into a broader QHSE management system.
Finally, we highlight how SGS supports organizations throughout their ISO 45001 journey – from training and gap assessments, to certification and continual improvement – helping businesses strengthen their safety culture and meet international best practices.
