Published on 17/10/2025 – FSSC began developing Version 7 of the FSSC 22000 Scheme.

Publication Timeline for FSSC 22000 Version 7
- The official release date for FSSC 22000 Version 7 is not yet confirmed, but it is expected around late Q1 or early Q2 of 2026.
- There will be a 12-month transition period from the date of publication to allow organizations time to implement the new standard.

FSSC 22000 consists of three elements:
- ISO 22000:2018 (Food Safety Management System Requirements)
- Sector-Specific PRPs (ISO/TS 22002 series), updated and published on 29 July 2025 as ISO 22002 series:2025.

Changes in ISO 22000
- ISO 22000:2018 had Amendment 1 in early 2024 addressing climate action changes.
- A new version of ISO 22000 is under development, with the draft currently under review by the relevant working group.
