FMSC General Trading and Contracting Co. W.L.L., a Kuwait-based catering and support services provider and part of the MOYARA Group, has achieved certification to four international management system standards by SGS. The company is now certified to ISO 9001:2015 for quality management, ISO 14001:2015 for environmental management, ISO 45001:2018 for occupational health and safety and ISO 22000:2018 for food safety management.
This combination of certifications marks an important milestone for FMSC and confirms the maturity of an integrated management system that spans quality, environmental responsibility, workplace safety and food safety.
For an organization that delivers thousands of meals every day across industrial sites, rig operations and remote camps, these standards reflect a serious and sustained commitment to operational excellence and the wellbeing of the people it serves.

Certification Scope
The ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 certifications cover the provision of full catering services. The ISO 22000:2018 certification covers the provision of catering services, including the preparation of meals and supply to external locations as well as on-site service to consumers.
In practice, this scope reaches across the core of the FMSC business. The company provides industrial catering, rig catering, camp management, and a range of support services, delivering three to four meals daily, including packed meals.
Menus are customized to meet the diverse tastes of Asian, Arab, Turkish and Filipino personnel, which means consistency and food safety must be maintained across varied cuisines and challenging operating environments. Certifying these activities gives clients and end consumers clear assurance that meals are prepared, transported and served under controlled and internationally recognized conditions.
About the Standards
- ISO 9001 is the world's most widely used quality management standard. It helps organizations build consistent processes, focus on customer needs and drive continual improvement. For a high-volume catering operation, it underpins reliable service delivery and a structured approach to managing client expectations.
- ISO 14001 sets out the requirements for an effective environmental management system. It helps organizations identify, manage and reduce their environmental impact. In catering and camp management, this supports responsible handling of waste, water, energy and resources across multiple sites.
- ISO 45001 is the international standard for occupational health and safety management. It provides a framework for reducing workplace risks and creating safer working conditions. This is especially relevant for teams operating in industrial, rig and remote camp settings where safety is critical.
- ISO 22000 is the international food safety management standard. It combines the principles of HACCP with a structured management system to control food safety hazards throughout the supply chain. For FMSC, it directly governs the safe preparation, transport and service of meals to consumers in demanding locations.
Benefits to the Business
Implementing and certifying these standards delivers tangible value across the FMSC operation. The company reports stronger process control, improved risk management, greater operational efficiency and a more disciplined approach to continual improvement. These gains translate directly into more consistent service for clients and greater confidence among the people who rely on FMSC every day.
Certification also strengthens customer confidence and supports the company's reputation as a credible and dependable partner. Robust food safety and health and safety systems reduce operational risk, while environmental controls support responsible and sustainable performance. Together these outcomes reinforce governance, accountability and FMSC's competitive position in a demanding market.
An Integrated Management System
Rather than operating four separate systems, FMSC has brought quality, environmental, health and safety and food safety management together into a single integrated framework. This integration was the main focus of the implementation effort, which took several months and involved system development, employee training and operational improvements.
The standards reinforce one another. Quality management keeps service consistent, food safety management protects consumers, health and safety management safeguards the workforce and environmental management reduces operational impact.
Managed as one system, they share common processes for leadership, risk assessment, documentation and continual improvement. This reduces duplication, improves visibility for management and ensures that decisions in one area support performance across the others.
We congratulate FMSC General Trading and Contracting on achieving certification to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 22000. This reflects strong leadership commitment and a genuine dedication to food safety and continual improvement. It is a milestone the entire FMSC team can be proud of.
