We are delighted to announce that SGS has received a recognition award from our highly respected customer - the Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC). SGS has been the only Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC) organization in the KSA to be awarded this honor.
Ranked among the world’s largest petrochemicals manufacturers, SABIC is a public company based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, founded in 1976 by a royal decree. 70% of the company’s shares are owned by Saudi Aramco, with the remaining 30% publicly traded on the Saudi stock exchange. Today, the company has operations in around 50 countries with a global workforce of over 31,000 talented individuals.
On 21 March 2023, SABIC organized the honoring ceremony in Jubail under the theme “Partner to Grow” where the importance of partnership, local content and collaboration was stressed. SGS has been one of the selected suppliers to be recognized for their outstanding performance in 2022.
It is notable that SGS received this award for the 2nd time in a row, the first award being received in early 2022.

Being the sole testing, inspection, and certification organization in Saudi Arabia to receive this award from SABIC is truly remarkable.
