Mai Mourad

Project Coordinator, Verification and Conformity Company, SGS Saudi Arabia

Mai joined SGS in 2023 as a product expert, bringing over 5 years of experience in product conformity assessment. She currently leads coordination with the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) under the Saudi Quality Mark (SQM) program. Her role focuses on facilitating trade through efficient implementation of SASO procedures and guidelines and supporting brand owners in obtaining the SQM certification for their products. Prior to joining SGS, Mai spent over 11 years as a chemical analyst and holds a PhD in Analytical Chemistry.

Sahil Majeed

Technical Manager – Food, SGS UAE

As Technical Manager – Health and Nutrition at SGS, he has led over 1,000 audits globally across GFSI-recognized schemes such as FSSC 22000, BRCGS, ISO 22000, and Halal and Organic certification programs. Sahil has played a pivotal role in high-impact projects including COP28, Dubai Expo, the Bahrain F1 Grand Prix, and the Emirates Quality Mark certification systems.

A recognized thought leader in food safety, food fraud, food defense, and regulatory harmonization, Sahil regularly speaks at global conferences including the Dubai International Food Safety Conference (DIFSC) and the ENFIT Global Transport & Hygiene Summit. He is known for driving forward digitalization in food safety, sustainable certification programs, and regulatory innovation in the MENA region.

His advisory work spans ministries, regulatory bodies, and multinational food businesses, where he brings strategic insight into compliance, trade facilitation, and food cluster development.
