This course provides greenhouse gas and climate change practitioners with the skills and knowledge to undertake a verification of a greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory, developed in accordance with ISO 14064-1:2018 using the verification standard ISO 14064-3:2019.

On completion of this course, you will be able to:
This 32-hour course is conducted as virtual instructor led training (VILT) and consists in 4 modules:
An introduction to climate change, and to Greenhouse Gas accounting and reporting concepts.
An introduction to ISO 14064-1 and the GHG Protocol, where you will explore quantification and reporting of Greenhouse Gas emissions. You will also explore the concepts of GHG inventories, carbon footprints and carbon neutrality.
An introduction to ISO 14064-3 and the verification of greenhouse gas statements thorough understanding the verification process according to ISO 14064-3 standards. You will explore how to develop a verification approach, which includes a strategic review, risk analysis, verification plan and sampling plans.
Providing a deeper insight into the validation of greenhouse gas statements in accordance with ISO 14064-3 standards, including verifying removals and net carbon emissions. Explore the difference between verification and validation in the context of ISO 14064-3, ISO 14065 and ISO 14066.
On completion of this course, you will be issued a “Certificate of Completion”.
