We are proud to announce that our Shanghai laboratory has officially been awarded the ZDHC Supplier to Zero (StZ) Reviewer qualification following a formal review by the Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC) Foundation.
This achievement represents a major step forward in strengthening our support for clients in the textile and footwear industries with ZDHC StZ emission plan services, including Level 1 declaration and consultation and Level 2 document review.
With the StZ Reviewer qualification, we are now certified to guide and assess suppliers on their journey to safer and more sustainable chemical management. This helps textile and footwear companies:
- Pinpoint improvement areas in their chemical management systems
- Reduce environmental and regulatory risks tied to outdated practices
- Cut long-term operational costs through improved chemical oversight
- Demonstrate compliance and transparency to stakeholders
Part of the ZDHC Leaders to Zero initiative, the StZ program is a recognized industry pathway. It offers a structured framework designed to help suppliers adopt and implement the ZDHC Roadmap to Zero (RtZ) system in a phased and practical way:
- Level 1: self-assessment against ZDHC's minimum requirements
- Level 2: a more rigorous assessment in which suppliers submit evidence (e.g. chemical-management documents) and a third‑party reviewer verifies these via document review
- Level 3: on-site third‑party audits (currently not available)
Through these levels, suppliers can track and demonstrate progress in implementing ZDHC's best-practice guidelines.
As an authorized third-party reviewer, we offer specialized support for StZ Level 1 and Level 2, helping companies through both self-evaluation and formal documentation review. In addition, we offer complementary ZDHC services such as wastewater testing and ZDHC Performance InCheck/Verified InCheck, delivering a complete compliance and improvement package.
Carol Chen, Senior Director, Softlines, C&P: "Securing StZ Reviewer status for our Shanghai laboratory reinforces our role in driving safer chemical use across the value chain. By supporting suppliers at every stage of the ZDHC program, we are helping the industry build more responsible, transparent and future-ready production practices."
