Mechanical characterization, or testing, determines the physical properties of materials used in the construction of motor vehicles. These tests are vital for vehicle safety and compliance; the materials tested include plastics, metals, rubbers, paintings and coatings.

We have the equipment and expertise to perform mechanical tests including:

  • Static and dynamic properties of materials from -40 to 400oC
  • Tensile, compression, bending, torsion, tear strength, sheering 90o and 180o peeling, creep, fatigue and endurance
