To supply food products to McDonald’s you must comply with the requirements of the McDonald’s Supplier Quality Management System (SQMS), a global standard that ensures safety, quality and consistency. The McDonald’s SQMS applies to all businesses involved in providing raw materials or processed food items to the brand’s global operations.
All McDonald’s food product suppliers must undergo a verification audit and achieve SQMS certification annually. The verification audit may be delivered as a standalone audit. More commonly, it is applied as an addendum to a GFSI-recognized food manufacturing standards audit. This allows you to reduce audit time and costs while maintaining strict compliance with McDonald’s requirements.
