Reminder: Compliance with Fur Products Labeling Act in the U.S.

The recent news that major retailers in the U.S. have violated the Fur Products Labeling Act and the Textile Fiber Identification Act for false advertising of fur apparel and accessories has roused the industry’s attention for correct labeling on fur garments.  There are U.S. federal and state laws in place which are enforced by various means such as the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC). Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO) have been involved in bringing attention to these laws.
