Vivar Printing Adopts the SGS S-Carbon Comprehensive Digital Carbon Management Platform

We are pleased to announce that Vivar Printing Sdn Bhd, one of the largest privately owned printing establishments in Malaysia, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) agreement to adopt SGS S-Carbon.

This initiative aims to assist in quantifying the overall greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions of the organization and its value chain, enhance data transparency, and systematically mitigate risks. This marks a significant milestone for Vivar Printing in driving environmental sustainability through innovation.

In an era where sustainability is paramount, the printing industry faces growing scrutiny over its carbon footprint, a critical concern as global efforts to combat climate change intensify. With stakeholders demanding eco-friendly practices, the printing sector stands at a crossroads: how will it respond with innovation and reduce its environmental impact?

The S-Carbon platform is a user-friendly tool for tracking, analyzing and reporting carbon emissions levels in real time. It provides a comprehensive solution for managing carbon emissions across the supply chain for various types of activities and facilities, including direct and indirect emissions (scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions).

Sustainability is one of Vivar Printing’s core values and is deeply integrated into its long-term corporate vision and strategy. The S-Carbon platform will provide Vivar Printing with data-driven insights that enable the organization to identify key sources of emissions, align with Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi), and make informed decisions about implementing practical interventions to reduce its environmental impact.
