The United Kingdom (UK) is planning to add nine entries to the Candidate List of Substances of Very High Concern (SVHCs) for authorization under UK REACH.
On July 9, 2026, the UK’s Health and Safety Executive launched a six-week consultation on the inclusion of nine SVHCs and SVHC groups on the UK REACH Candidate List. The substances have been added to the Registry of SVHC Intentions Until Outcome.
Which nine SVHCs are proposed for inclusion on the candidate list?
These nine SVHCs and examples of their uses are detailed in Table 1.
