The desirable properties of textiles depend on their end use.
For example, various tissue defects can affect appearance. To ensure that the textiles delivered to consumers are of property quality, and to avoid unforeseen losses, the quality of the fabric must be ascertained before shipment.
SGS offers final selective inspections of textiles to help our customers assess the quality and safety of finished products before shipment, and to prevent problems arising during import.
We use ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 (ISO 2859-1) criteria for sampling (AQL).
Our inspections cover:
- Quality (appearance and workmanship)
- Quantity
- Packaging
- Marking
- Shipment marking to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, such as barcode verifications
An inspection will include a detailed report on the quality of batches of finished products, including identified defects and inconsistencies.
All of our final random inspections are carried out by inspectors with in-depth knowledge of the latest inspection methods and technologies.
