SGS’s Cradle to Cradle© certification service assesses products, determines their conformity to the standard, and proposes ways to optimize products and production processes seeking certification.
Growing pressure on producers to tackle environmental issues and adopt circular economy practices requires time and experience. The ultimate goal of Cradle to Cradle certification is to encourage innovation in the design of products that effectively and positively impact people and the environment. Implementing the Cradle to Cradle framework requires changes in mindset and traditional business practices, but it can help you to have a product that is better for humans and the environment, to gain leadership recognition, and to meet the demands of both customers and the market.
Appointed as a General Assessor in North America and Netherlands, we can help. Our assessors can review your product, determine their conformity to the standard, and propose ways to optimize both the products and the production processes seeking certification.
What is cradle to cradle certification?
The Cradle to Cradle Certified Products Standard is a multi-attribute, continuous improvement methodology that evaluates products, systems and operations across five quality categories:
- Material health
- Material reutilization
- Renewable energy and carbon management
- Water stewardship
- Social fairness
Administered by the Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute, product certification is awarded at five levels (Basic, Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum).
