When purchasing an item of functional wear or athleisure wear, consumers consider garment function, performance, comfort, value for money and brand reputation in their buying decisions. Recently, protective function in garments is a new trend. Brands should ensure the functional claim(s) of the product in the marketplace must meet the performance requirements for which they are designed and therefore fulfilling client expectations.
