We are pleased to announce that we have awarded Sun Hung Kai & Co. Limited (SHK & Co.), a leading alternative investment platform headquartered in Hong Kong, ISO/IEC 27001 Information Security Management System (ISMS) certification.
This achievement highlights SHK & Co.’s commitment to safeguarding information assets, enhancing cybersecurity resilience and adopting internationally recognized best practices in risk and information security management. The certification covers SHK & Co.’s provision of IT services, ensuring that essential systems are governed by a robust and internationally aligned security framework.
Although ISO/IEC 27001 is not mandatory for listed companies or financial institutions in Hong Kong, SHK & Co. proactively pursued certification to demonstrate its commitment to exceeding regulatory expectations, strengthening operational resilience, reinforcing stakeholder trust and upholding strong governance. The certification is especially significant given SHK Co.’s highly regulated and trust critical operating environment, helping protect sensitive client and financial data, enhance cybersecurity resilience in a sector frequently targeted by cyber threats, and promote transparent, responsible information governance that meets the growing expectations of regulators, stakeholders and the wider financial community.
As part of the certification process, we conducted an independent third-party audit that evaluated the effectiveness of controls across the defined scope. Through this assessment, SHK & Co. strengthened its information security practices, refined risk management processes, enhanced documentation and operational workflows and elevated internal security awareness across the organization. The audit further reinforced a culture of continuous improvement and improved readiness to respond to emerging cyber risks.
